We went to the SIAS presentation: “When pensions and insurance collide”.
After a quick cup of tea, we took our seats in a packed room where you had to be on time for any chance of getting a chair, indeed, some sixty people were present.
The presentation was clear, punctuated by comments from the floor and the speakers were interesting and spoke with humour. The pace and timing allowed the debate to be both technical and relevant.
The session ended with the surrender of a bottle of champagne for a student who had asked apposite questions.
